The main thing that pivoted me away from shitlord right-libertarianism was that I got a job and worked in the real world and observed the material and financial conditions of those around me and realized everything is wrong.

letterboxd.com/aependell/One thing that is really cool is that I am technically a "part-time" employee despite regularly working 40 hours a week, sometimes even making an hour or two of overtime. So I have the workload of a full-time employee but with none of the benefits, better pay, or consistent schedule.
My store manager keeps talking to me about the benefits he has as a manager too which feels super great. When I had jury duty earlier this month he couldn't help but mention like 5 times that he would love jury duty because the company would compensate him for the full day. That's cool man. Good for you.

I was just about to make a post saying my entire life for the past few months has just been a cycle of working really exhausting shifts and using all available free time to just... emotionally and physically recover from work. I have plenty of things I could be doing but knowing how much I worked yesterday and how much I'm going to have to work tomorrow I feel like I'll die if I expend any energy today.
